REAL-TIME RESULTS

LightSail incorporates real-time transparency that measures and then displays incremental growth in reading, writing and learning. Daily monitoring is conducted as students read, answer questions, provide written responses and more.

Achievements are tracked and updates made in each student’s library based upon their learning-level. Mudita Sponsors can visit this page to see real-time results, and are emailed monthly email reports so they can see the concrete benefits of their donations.

READING RESULTS

It all starts with each student’s commitment to read using LightSail for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.The minutes and pages that are read, and books completed, are documented in real-time.

This allows parents & Mudita Tutors to observe each student’s development and guides further growth.

LITERACY RESULTS

LightSail uses the Lexile framework created by MetaMetrics. Lexile is a proven tool to measure and forecast reading ability, and has been scientifically validated by over 1,000 studies. Other metrics only measure the complexity of a text.

This allows a student to be matched with books & other content that falls in their zone of proximal development. The integrated LightSail platform shows Lexile & literacy growth over time.
